Knotted Hanging Jar

1. Glass jar
2. Twine or jute string
3. Adhesive tape

Step 1: Measure a length of twine 8 times the height of the jar. Cut 4 strands.

Step 2: Divide twine into 2 groups. Make a box knot.

Step 3: With the jar upside down, place the knot at the bottom of the jar.

Step 4: Take 2 strands of twine and make an overhand knot. Repeat all the way around the jar. You will end up with 4 knots.

Step 5: Tape the knot to the center of the bottom of the jar.

Step 6: Tie together one strand from each adjacent knot.

Step 7: Create more rows of knots until you reach the mouth of the jar.

Step 8: Turn the jar right side up and tie all the twine stands together in an overhand knot.
