1. Vase
2. Acrylic paint
3. Baking powder
4. Foam paint brush
5. Bowl for mixing
6. Garbage bag, plastic tablecloth, or newspaper to place on the surface where you’ll be painting
Step 1: Mix 1 container of paint with 2 tablespoons baking powder.
Step 2: You'll notice a mousse-like texture starting to form. If it doesn’t, add a little more baking powder until the texture resembles mousse.
Step 3: Using a foam brush, begin painting a thin layer horizontally. Allow the first layer to dry for 10-15 minutes. It's ok if you can still see the vase through the first layer of paint. A thin coat is better—you don't want the paint to be chunky.
Step 4: Paint the second layer and let dry. If you think you will need a third coat, wait 20-30 minutes before painting again.
Step 5: Allow to dry.
