Winter Gala 2025: Christmas in the Highlands

Lenya Heitzig and Sheologie invite you to our Annual Winter Gala on Tuesday, December 2 at our Osuna campus. Doors open at 6 pm, welcoming you into a festive evening that will begin at 6:30 pm. This year’s theme, Christmas in the Highlands, is a gentle reminder to pause in the midst of a busy season often filled with noise and obligations and make room for the One who brings true peace. This Christmas, come rejoice that the light of Christ still breaks into the darkness—bringing hope to the weary, joy to the burdened, and purpose to every heart that dares to trust Him. Our prayer is to create a space where women are refreshed, encouraged, and awakened again to the wonder of Jesus—the true light of Christmas.

We are honored to welcome guest speaker Kristin Lenz, author of Adventure Awaits. Through honest storytelling and a powerful message, Kristin will encourage us to step into the unknown with courage and faith, trusting that God will meet us there with purpose, transformation, and deep, lasting joy.

The evening will feature a special time of worship, inspiring performances, meaningful moments, and a light supper served with tea (please note that tea service will not be available in balcony seating). You’ll also enjoy our Lovely Market—a curated collection of local vendors offering thoughtful, seasonal goods.

Dinner Menu:

(GF = Gluten-Free)

Main Course Selections:

  • Classic Reuben on Rye
    • Slow-braised corned beef layered with Swiss cheese, crisp slaw, and tangy Thousand Island dressing on artisan rye bread.
  • Roasted Turkey & Pesto Focaccia
    • Oven-roasted turkey with basil pesto and fire-roasted tomato on warm, herbed focaccia bread.

Accompaniments:

  • Green Goddess Garden Salad (GF, Vegetarian) 
    • Fresh greens and seasonal vegetables, tossed in a creamy Green Goddess dressing.
  • Jalapeño Ranch Potato Salad (GF)
    • Tender red potatoes tossed in a zesty jalapeño ranch dressing for a touch of spice.

Sweet Finish:

  • Velvety Chocolate Mousse (GF)
    • Rich, silky mousse topped with whipped cream.
  • Spiced Gingerbread Muffin
    • A festive, warmly spiced muffin baked with holiday cheer.

Individual tickets are $25 each (plus tax) or reserve a table of ten for $250. Balcony tickets are $23 (plus tax) and do not include tea service.

Madison Newcomb

Sheologie Director

Madison was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was a hopeless sinner saved by His sweet grace. Her passion is to see other women's lives transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Sheologie changed her life, and now her prayer is that every woman, no matter their age, finds purpose, belonging, friendship, and their own God-given identity here. Her heart is to minister and love on every woman she crosses paths with. Madison loves walking through gardens and spending time with her soon-to-be husband, Landan. She enjoys trying new coffee shops, and brunching with her friends and family. Madison's office door is always open for a quick "hello", a SoPo coffee run, for prayer, and anything in between.

Ministry/Digital Communications Coordinator

Kayla Maria was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM. She is creative, and delights in photography and social media because she gets to honor the Lord through her skills. Kayla has a heart for youth and women, especially those who feel purposeless, because she was once that girl who had no purpose. She believes in loving all the lost. She spends her free time rock climbing, traveling, and just hanging out with friends.

Bible Study Coordinator

Chloe was born in Albuquerque, NM. She has a heart for seeing women's lives transformed by God's Word and coming alongside ladies by locking arms and discipling them. God has forever changed her life, and she loves seeing women's lives transformed as well. In her free time, Chloe enjoys playing board games, building Legos, hiking, and spending time with her husband.

Rayleen Ortiz

Sheologie Special Events & Office Coordinator

Rayleen was born in Las Vegas, Nevada but raised in Albuquerque, NM. She has a passion for seeing woman grow in their relationship with the Lord through His love and mercy. Her goal is to use her God-given gifts of empathy, kindness, and spiritual sensitivity to plant the seed of God's perfect love in the hearts of woman who are lost, broken, or who are struggling to obtain a relationship with the Lord. Rayleen finds joy in spending time outdoors to admire the beauty of nature by discovering new hiking trails or camping with her family.
