Spring Gathering 2024 Guest Melissa Dougherty

Workshop: Cultural Topics from a Christian Perspective

Guest Speaker: Melissa Dougherty

Cultural Topics From A Christian Perspective will cover three of the toughest cultural challenges Christians are facing: Progressive Christianity, LGBTQ+ ideology, and Pop Christianity. Join Melissa Dougherty in this timely workshop as she shares ways to respond in love and truth.

A time for Q&A surrounding these topics is included.

This workshop is in the Hub, near the outdoor baptismal.

Spring Gathering 2024 Guest Janae Heitzig

Workshop: Calvary Outreach

Guest Speaker: Janaé Heitzig

Explore the Calvary Mission as it shares God’s heart for the lost, both across the globe and right here in our local community. Join Janaé Heitzig as she shares the heart behind Community Outreach and how to practically be the hands and feet of Jesus to others in our community. Such as the monthly outreaches hosted locally, the ongoing support of Feed NM Kids, nursing home ministry, Love Week (a weeklong initiative to serve our community), Thanksgiving Pickup Party, Christmas Toy Shop, and more.

Participants will have the opportunity to sign up for the many areas Calvary serves and supports.

This workshop is in the relaxed, informal atmosphere of SoPo cafe.

Spring Gathering 2024 Guest Ketty Kerns

Workshop: Raising Highly Capable Kids

Guest Speaker: Ketty Kerns

Raising Highly Capable Kids (RHCK) is the premier parenting program of RezilientKidz™. Join Ketty Kerns in this workshop as she shares RHCK parenting program information and key insights to parenting. She will discuss research-based methods to become more engaged in their children’s lives and academic pursuits as they learn the essential building blocks every child needs. RHCK is research-based, evidence-based, and dialogue-based.

A child’s identity—how they see themselves and their place in the world—is fragile. The good news is that parents can help shape that identity into something powerful; something from which they can draw strength for the rest of their life.

This workshop is in the Cove, located in Calvary Kids.

Spring Gathering 2024 Guest Skylar Macedo

Workshop: Worth the Wait

Guest Speaker: Skylar Macedo

Seasons of waiting are inevitable; some are longer, and others unexpected. Join Skylar Macedo in this workshop, “Worth The Wait”, as she unfolds the different seasons of waiting, from saying yes to singleness, to dating, and to marriage. She will walk through practical and spiritual steps on how Jesus wants us to find joy and purpose in the waiting.

In the waiting, we can often feel stuck and discouraged. You’ll leave this workshop saying,
“it’s worth the wait”.

This workshop is in the Plex, near the outdoor basketball courts.
