Journaling With Jesus
“One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in His temple.” Psalm 27:4
Journaling: A Sacred Invitation
It has often been said that unloading your thoughts onto a piece of paper can help relieve the mental weight we carry day in and day out.
Have you found that to be true?
Perhaps you’ve wanted to try journaling but aren’t sure where to begin.
Don’t fret!
Wisdom Shared: Learning From Others
A friend of Sheologie, Sailor, beautifully shared six simple steps to make journaling with the Lord feel attainable and approachable for anyone.
She graciously opened up about how journaling has helped carry her through both challenging seasons and joyful moments in her life. She also shared the deep joy she experiences when looking back through old journals, each one serving as a testimony to how God has faithfully walked with her through it all.
What a friend we have in Jesus!
Resting, Reflecting, and Receiving
Jesus invites us to bring everything to Him; the good and the bad.
However, just like in any friendship, imagine only sharing your struggles without ever taking time to listen to what they may have to say about it.
We are not only called to ask, but also to receive, and journaling alongside God’s Word creates space for Him to speak, guide, and direct us.
My prayer is that the steps our friend shared will help guide you, allowing you to rest, reflect, and deepen your relationship with the faithful friend we have in Jesus.
Until next time, shine bright, sisters-
Not for praise, but for the One who saves.
Bailey
