Let’s Pray
“Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.”
Ephesians 6:18
When do you pray? While you’re driving, during your quiet time, or maybe only on Sundays at church?
Do you pray throughout the day or only whisper a prayer in times of need?
Is prayer a priority in your life, or does it sometimes feel like a chore despite the power we know it holds?
Wisdom Shared: Learning From Others
A friend of Sheologie, Skylar Macedo, shared a powerful message calling women to “shake the gates of hell” with our prayer lives.
Referencing Ephesians 6:10–18, she summarized three ways we can be battle-ready:
Have a battle strategy. “The quantity of time doesn’t determine the quality of it.” Skylar suggested simple action steps like praying every time you get in the car, setting an alarm as a reminder to pray, or praying while doing the dishes or laundry.
Be courageously generous. “Pray for others and pray over others.” We should cover our husbands, homes, and friends in prayer, but don’t stop there. Pray for the grocery store employee helping you or the person sitting behind you at church.
Remember who leads the battle. “Prayer is us grasping back onto the hand of God, reminding ourselves Who’s leading and Who’s in control.”
Becoming A Praying Woman
First Thessalonians 5:17 tells us to “pray without ceasing.”
Prayer deserves a place at the center of our daily lives.
Start small.
- Thank God for another day before you reach for your phone.
- Whisper prayers of gratitude as you make your morning coffee.
- Sing worship songs while driving your kids to school.
Whether we’re running errands, vacuuming the house, or walking into a meeting, we can (and should) be in constant conversation with God.
Cover others in prayer, stand firm in faith, and never stop praying!
Until next time, shine bright, sisters-
Not for praise, but for the One who saves.
